Music enthusiast excited about leading NZ¹s largest chamber music organisation

Music lover and supporter Euan Murdoch has completed his first month leading New Zealand¹s largest chamber music provider, Chamber Music New Zealand and is already feeling enthusiastic about the future.

Chamber Music New Zealand has a proud history of providing chamber music across New Zealand for over 55 years, making it New Zealand¹s longest running chamber music organisation.

Euan has almost half that amount of years experience in the music industry, with a 25 year career shaped by his enthusiasm, passion and lifelong commitment to music in New Zealand. A large part of the appeal of leading the organisation has been getting involved in all aspects of the organisation, from management and financial plans, to marketing and artistic incentives.

Euan has been a keen chamber musician and supporter of CMNZ for many years. Euan has participated in the New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, both as a competitor and adjudicator. This year, the contest celebrates its 41st year.

""I have been welcomed and supported by a fantastic team here at the Chamber Music New Zealand. It is my ambition to foster the wonderful work CMNZ staff and supporters have accomplished and to move forward into some exciting new ventures."

"It has been my experience that in small organisations like CMNZ, the team is only as strong as its weakest member. I am fortunate to be leading an enthusiastic and supportive team who have a passion for what the organisation stands for and its future. I¹m really thrilled to be able to continue CMNZ¹s long tradition of providing chamber music to music lovers all over New Zealand."
