New Partnership Laughs Off The Competition
The 2005 NZ Sponsorship Awards announced in Auckland last week, surprised audiences, by recognising first time partners Nestle NZ and the ODDFELLOWS NZ International Comedy Festival.
Nestlé NZ were thrilled with this years results, earning them two highly prestigious awards for - "The New Zealand Herald Best National Arts and Entertainment Sponsorship" Award for the ODDFELLOWS NZ International Comedy Festival and the "TVNZ & FAIRFAX SUPREME ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SPONSORSHIP AWARD".
Jeremy Boucher for Nestlé New Zealand said, "we are absolutely delighted to have won these two sponsorship awards. The association of the ODDFELLOWS brand with the NZ International Comedy Festival has been and continues to be a natural and successful one.
These awards recognise the enormous work done by the Nestlé team and the Festival to deliver New Zealand a truly 'World Class' event. We are extremely proud to be associated with the Festival."
Nestlé NZ and ODDFELLOWS the brand, joined the ranks of NZ’s biggest branded events, including The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, Air New Zealand -The Montana World of Wearable Arts Awards and Buddle Findlay for AK05 – Commotion, when they received this years nomination. Appreciating the outstanding potential of their partnership with the NZ International Comedy Festival, Nestlé NZ did not expect to win this award in the first year of this partnership, ahead of the more established players.

We are also pleased to confirm Nestlé NZ and ODDFELLOWS as our partner for the 2006 Festival”, says Hilary McMillan, Festival Director.

The annual 2005 New Zealand Sponsorship Awards was held at Auckland's Langham Hotel on Thursday the 24th of November in front of NZ's business, sports, arts and entertainment and cause related communities.
