Fancy some Funk in your Soul?
Heineken Music Green Room Sessions presents an exclusive Quantic Soul Party
Heineken Music Green Room Sessions bring you some of the world’s most progressive and cutting edge music acts.
So it’s no surprise that Heineken Music will showcase top UK funk heavyweights Quantic Soul Orchestra (QSO) featuring British soul sensation Alice Russell at two exclusive events in Auckland and Wellington at the end of November.
This will be the first time QSO and Alice Russell have performed in New Zealand. Will Holland, founder of QSO, has established himself as one of the most talented and prolific producers in the world of alternative dance music. Quantic Soul Orchestra pays homage to the funk explosion of the early Seventies delivering their unique brand of deep funk, soul, afro and boogie.
QSO will be joined by Alice Russell who has gained an enviable reputation as one of the hottest singers in the UK right now. Alice’s lavishly soulful voice is both timeless and modern. Her style is a predominantly bluesy, soul lament but encompasses everything from funk to gospel to jazz and beyond. Her performances possess that rare quality; the ability to captivate the audience and command its attention, creating music that tugs at the emotions and sends tingles down your spine. Alice’s gritty vocal input adds extra colour to an already kaleidoscopic collection.
Not your typical gig, a Heineken Music Green Room Session fuses stylish music, art and innovation. Enjoy world class artists in a small, intimate setting. Experience video and performance art direct from the minds of NZ’s top visual manipulators - Mike Hodgson and friends. Come early and experience the ‘green room’ unfolding before your eyes.
Life rewards those who go beyond so come and experience the sheer, raw energy of Quantic Soul Orchestra and Alice Russell live at the Heineken Music Green Room Sessions.
