World Wrestling Entertainment and Dainty Consolidated Entertainment announced today that WWE will debut in Wellington with WWE SmackDown Road to WrestleMania 22 Tour at the Westpac Stadium on Saturday 4th March 2006. This will be the first time such an event has taken place in New Zealand.

Tickets to this exclusive one-off event will go on sale Monday 7th November through Ticketek. An exclusive internet pre-sale will take place from Thursday 3rd November to Sunday 6th November, 2005 at www.ticketek.co.nz.

The event will be a spectacular unlike anything New Zealand has seen before. Fans are guaranteed the ‘Westpac Stadium’ Wellington will rock on Saturday 4 March 2006 when their favourite WWE SmackDown Superstars take to the ring. Among the Superstars scheduled to appear include BATSITA™, JBL™, CHRIS BENOIT®, RANDY ORTON™, EDDIE GUERRERO™; REY MYSTERIO™, BOOKER T™, and CHRISTY HEMME™ with the card subject to change.
