Now in it’s third year, the Wellington International Poetry Festival, has become an icon event of Wellington city,
adding a focus on poetry and peace to its exciting and varied cultural calendar. The festival has as its central theme
Disarmament and Peaceful Dialogue.
WIPF offers a plethora of events to stimulate, educate, entertain and celebrate cultural diversity and peaceful poetic
dialogue. The events are highly accessible and diverse; most are free of charge and at various times of the day and
evening, promising everyone a chance to come and experience the Festival.
