Bombay Sapphire Sparks
Up The Spirit Of Air New Zealand Fashion
Week.
The Sapphire Siren set to steal the show as the official cocktail of the collections.
Bombay Sapphire is toasting its latest role at Air New Zealand Fashion Week with a new signature cocktail and as naming sponsor of the Bombay Sapphire Group Shows.
As the official spirit of Fashion Week since 2003, the world's most recognisable gin is once again adding its international allure and sophistication to the collections.
Bombay Sapphire's distinctive blue hue will light the tent for the Bombay Sapphire Group shows, the platform for the labels which often move on to become individual stars in future years.
Brand Manager, Amanda Sexton says the opportunity to put the brand on the catwalk, so to speak, was irresistible.
"We have access to beautiful imagery and ideas from around the world that we will play as guests arrive for the show. We believe the Bombay Sapphire blue mood will set the scene for the creative excitement to follow."
The partnership once again gives Bombay Sapphire enviable positioning at the collections and at selected parties, events, restaurants and bars affiliated with the event.
A number of individual designers have also chosen to toast their collections with after-show Bombay Sapphire cocktails including Kate Sylvester, Liz Mitchell, Workshop, Little Brother and Angela Lewis.
The best dressed crowds in town will be sipping the latest creation of the Bombay Sapphire Ambassadors, the official cocktail of the collections, to be known this year as the Sapphire Siren (see recipe at end of release).
"Because Air New Zealand Fashion Week generates international attention for New Zealand's best fashion designers, it continues to be the perfect alignment for Bombay Sapphire's international focus on the best in design."
While the Sapphire Siren has yet to make its debut, Bombay Sapphire is already celebrating another fashionable win. The recent success of the "Ginger Ninja" the cocktail creation of menswear designer Murray Crane was the overall winner at the annual Hilton Designer Cocktail competition, where six designers used Bombay Sapphire to tempt the judges.
