Boxcar Bulletin...
Hello
The Boxcars Guitars are fresh back from their debut visit to Wellington (on Saturday night) and it was a blast, big thanks to The Chandeliers for being 'the hostess's with the mostest' and the staff (especially Sally) from the venue Happy...
The band also had a blast when the opened for American alt.country legend Howe Gelb last Thursday, in fact Howe invited the band (except John, he needed his beauty sleep) on stage to guest on a few songs, a very unique night indeed....
If you haven't been able to catch 'The Guitars' at their last few show, then here's another opportunity;
- Thursday 29th September - The Boxcar Guitars and the Spoils Duo (see below) @ the Odeon Lounge.
PS The Boxcar Guitars 'Lamp Light' EP is out now available from all good record stores and fabulous record websites!

The Spoils Duo are Sean Simmons & Bronwyn Henderson are core members of Melbourne band, The Spoils. Comprising of vocals, violin, accordion, glockenspiel, harmonica and a drone box, Sean & Bronwyn boast a varied sound with more colour and texture than the usual acoustic duo. Described as side-show balladry coupled with the perils and pitfalls of a dysfunctional circus, Sean & Bronwyn have an impeccable rapport on stage that has won them a dedicated fan base in their home country of Australia.
