Martinborough Vineyard 25 Year Celebratory Dinner
2005 is a very distinctive year for the Martinborough region and in particular for Martinborough Vineyard with the
celebration of 25 years of vineyard life. Martinborough Vineyard have been celebrating all year and for their
culmination are holding a 25 year celebratory dinner at the vineyard on Saturday 19th November, 2005.
The evening is a celebration of 25 years of winemaking history. Founded by Derek Milne, Duncan Milne, Russell Schultz
and their families in 1980, Martinborough Vineyard is regarded as the winery that started all the fuss in the region,
winning awards since its very first vintages in all varieties, and remaining a leader in the industry today with its
iconic wines, especially Pinot Noir.
Neil Perry, the proprietor of Sydney's acclaimed Rockpool restaurant and international culinary identity, has prepared
an amazing menu for this celebratory dinner using the freshest local produce matched with some hidden delights from the
MV cellars including Magnums of the famed 1998 Reserve Pinot Noir. This is an event that will leave your tastebuds
tingling! Neil is a huge fan of Martinborough and Martinborough Vineyard welcome him back.
Join the winemakers and friends on site in their stunningly adorned Barrell Hall for the evening as they take a brief
tour through the past 25 years, with stories from the founders, chats with the winemakers, comments from the wine media,
and more…
