Variety On-Line Trade-Me Auction Goes Live This Sunday
Variety – The Children’s Charity is launching its annual Trade-Me on-line auction this Sunday. The auction will be live from early Sunday evening (18 Sept).
Auction organiser, Variety’s Jennifer Miller, says this year’s auction includes a host of bargains, a few very special items, and some one off never-to-be-repeated items.
“For those who are used to trading on Trade-Me there will be some absolute bargains,” said Miller. “For those who haven’t been to Trade-Me before this is a great opportunity to check it out. There are some wonderful items which have all been donated to raise money for New Zealand children.”
Some of the more special items include a brand new Ford Focus, a $1000 Caltex petrol voucher, a $1000 Countdown “shop-a-thon”, a Lady’s watch from international watchmaker Raymond Weil (valued at over $2000), a new smile from Brite Smile valued at $1200, a signed Lions jersey and a luxury weekend package for two at Eagles Nest valued at $2300.
Being a charity auction people also have a chance to purchase a few things which you would not normally find for sale. These include a spectacular ride in the jump seat of the NZ Air Force 757, a framed $5 note signed by Sir Edmund Hillary, a Town Hall tour and lunch with Dick Hubbard and a Shortland Street behind the scenes experience which includes a walk on.
