TE MATEMATEAONE A NGAI TUHOE

Essential highlights from the Te Hui Ahurei o Tuhoe 2005 festival - the oldest iwi festival in Aotearoa - screen in the New Zealand documentary slot this week. Presented by Tamati Waaka, this documentary special captures the bi-annual event held at Te Rewarewa Marae (Ruatoki) where hundreds of iwi members convened to rekindle relationships, compete in kapa haka and sports competitions and participate in learning workshops in a celebration of Tuhoetanga.

Maori Television invites viewers to get wet and wild for a new 13-part series that documents a 10-month exploration of the South Pacific Ocean. This Natural History New Zealand documentary series takes viewers aboard the yacht Evohe, from the cold and stormy sub-antarctic regions to the balmy tropics, on an epic voyage to discover the patterns of marine life below and above the ocean's surface.

HAUORA HOKIANGA : PREMIERE

The show that provides a window into the lives of the people of Hokianga and their health system is launching a new series on Maori Television. >From the nurses in the far-flung communities that make up the Hokianga to marae-based initiatives to educate young and old to the historic Rawene Hospital that lies at the heart of the series, HAUORA HOKIANGA will continue to expose the ups and downs of the region's health system.
