Top Creatives Schofield and McQueen Join FCB
Auckland, Monday 4 July 2005 - Top creatives Chris Schofield and Billy McQueen have left Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland and start work today at FCB NZ as a senior team.
The move reunites a powerful creative partnership between Schofield, McQueen, FCB Executive Creative Director Oliver Maisey and FCB CEO Nick Baylis which began when the four were at GeneratorBates.
Schofield and McQueen have won recognition at all the major award shows, and were named by Shots magazine as a team to watch in 2003. Apart from their considerable talent they will bring to FCB an unparalleled work ethic and an endless supply of practical jokes.
Baylis said Schofield and McQueen were attracted to FCB by the opportunity to once again work with Maisey in an environment increasingly focused on championing creativity.
Maisey described the pair as "a bottomless pit of ideas".
"I'm delighted they've agreed to join us," he said. "I feel like Clive Woodward reverting to the tried and trusted, but in Chris and Billy I believe we're getting one of the hottest teams around. They were an integral part of Generator's success, and will be an integral part of FCB's.
"After 18 months of working on Telecom they've added a layer of strategic and results-focussed thinking that will prove invaluable to our clients' businesses."
