THE
AUCKLAND FESTIVAL BATTLEGROUND:
Former Auckland Festival
director Simon Prast has decided to speak out about the
behind-the-scenes battles in the lead-up to AK05. And this
week, the festival board presented its interim financial
report to the Auckland City Council. Jeremy Hansen and Julie
Hill investigate.
THE FUNNY SIDE OF WAR:
Carol
Burnett said “Comedy = Tragedy + Time”, and this has never
been more apt than for war. Comedian Te Radar, who has
filmed comic explorations of strife-torn areas East Timor
and Israel-Palestine, takes Oliver Driver through a history
of wartime entertainers, war-based sitcoms and the general
need to look on the bright side of life.
