Freediving Record Challenge Saturday
AIDA NZ wish to advise of an upcoming Freediving event in which 6 athletes from around NZ will attempt to set new National records in the disciplines involved in the sport of Freediving.
These disciplines include:
Static apnea - (breath holding) Current records are Women 5 mins 1 sec, Men 6 mins 42 secs Dynamic with fins - (distance swimming underwater with fins) Current record for Women 117 mtrs, Men 169 mtrs
Dynamic without fins - (distance swimming underwater without fins) Current record Women 66 mtrs, Men 105 mtrs This event will take place on Saturday 19th February, 2005 beginning 8am at Lagoon Leisure & Fitness Centre, Panmure.
