The New Zealand String Quartet kick-start Chamber Music New Zealand’s 2005 Celebrity Season with George Crumb’s Black Angels. The work includes shouting, whispering, gongs, maracas, and crystal glasses with the quartet amplified to produce a highly surrealistic effect.
