Five of Maori Television's most popular series are scheduled to air their season finals this week. Join in a week of exciting conclusions!

Hauora Hokianga

(Sunday January 30 at 6.00 PM)

Maori television's Northland-based health series is continuing to deliver the safe and healthy message on Maori Television this week. The Hokianga Health team deal with a 10-year-old with heart disease, healthy cooking classes for elders and a youth waka ama team, plus this episode also pays a visit to a cancer sufferer who professes his greatest relief lies in his faith. All in a day's work!

Hawaiki

(Thursday January 27 at 9.30 PM)

This popular cultural history documentary series in te reo Maori is scheduled to make a return to Maori Television with the inclusion of English language sub-titles. This is a series that traces the settlement of the South Pacific islands through incredible graphics, event re-enactments and precious commentary from hosts Kawariki Morgan and Reikura Morgan.

Carandiru

(Sunday January 30 at 9.00 PM)

This shocking feature film is scheduled to make its debut on Maori Television. The film traces the events in Latin America's most infamous prison - Casa de Detenco in Sao Paolo, Brazil - that lead up to the 1992 massacre at the prison in which 111 perished. A must see. (Portuguese language with English language sub-titles).

(Tuesday January 25 at 8.30 PM)

This award-winning international documentary follows the solemn pilgrimage of four Canadian-born siblings as they fulfil their deceased father's wishes by travelling to the Ganges River to scatter his remains. A poignant and moving journey.
