Something For Everyone At Royal Easter Show

Shrek 2, Powerpuff Girls, Weber Brothers Circus and more

There really is something for everyone at the Royal Easter Show, on from 24 to 29 March 2005 at the Auckland Showgrounds.

International acts Shrek 2 and the Powerpuff Girls are this year’s headliners, performing live on stage for the first time in New Zealand and exclusive to the Royal Easter Show.

Featuring all the main characters from the hit movie, Shrek 2 is expected to be a hit with the whole family. While the Powerpuff Girls, based on the popular TV cartoon series, will appeal to younger fans.

The Weber Brothers Circus is back after last year’s successful debut with a new show, ‘Circus Eggstreme’, also exclusive to the Royal Easter Show.

All the traditional favourites feature including carnival rides, street entertainers, Farmworld with its many farm animals and petting pens, A&P competitions, equestrian, shearing and dog trials.

Add to that the popular Royal Easter Cat Show; the Royal Easter Show Art Awards, New Zealand’s largest art competition with hundreds of artworks on show and for sale; the Royal Easter Wine Show; and the Cadbury Great Bunny Show with thousands of Cadbury Easter Eggs for the audience, and you’ve got great entertainment for all ages and interests this Easter.

Entry is only $30 for a family of five, $15 an adult, $5 a child and free for under-2 yrs, which represents good value family entertainment. All shows and attractions, excluding the carnival rides, are included in the entry price at no extra cost. And with all attractions under cover except for the carnival, it’s a great day out even if the weather isn’t.
