Calling All Budding Stars For Maorioke Series Two!
It’s back! The hunt is on again to find New Zealand’s best singers as production company Mauri Ora Productions scour the country again in a blazing round of auditions for the second “maorioke” series!
“maorioke” is a homespun-styled programme in which well known singer / songwriter hosts Ruia Aperahama and Brannigan Kaa seek the best Maori singers to warble their way to glory.
Who could forget last season’s top rating show on Maori Television as Tamehana Campbell from Wanganui took out the first series with his fabulous rendition of Incomplete? Now, “maorioke” producer Maraki Parata is looking for another “maorioke” winner to give the opportunity to record and release an original single, including a full production music video.
The “maorioke” auditions are being held in the following centres:

The new series is scheduled to make a debut on the Maori Television schedule in the early months of 2005.
