Workshops, Gallery, Performance at the Disrupt Gallery 145 Karangahape Road.
The annual live video performance festival returns, this time in the heart of K'Road, at the Disrupt Gallery - with an outstanding selection of the latest video gadgets and a multiple projector setup. INTERSECT Features video performance & presentations from leading VJs from Aotearoa. including Metaluna, Lotech, Mr J, Axis of Weevil, Emu, Helix, VMX Kid, Rob Zohrab and more.

12.00 VIDEO ART / VJ INTRODUCTION An overview of current practice and history
12.30 HARDWARE An introduction to the basic tools of VJing from mixers, video projectors and DVD playback through to new effects units and MIDI instruments. Hosted by Lotech and Mr J
1.30 EDITING FOR VJs Fibro presents a brief intro to digital video editing. Using Final Cut Pro, he'll discuss preparing a loop for use in other Vj software and even using FCP as a performance tool.
2.30 SOFTWARE Meta Luna (UK) discuss Mac based VDMXX and Grid2 , PC based software including Motion Dive and popular live performance tool Resolume.
4.00 DISCUSSION / HANDS ON INTERACTIVE GALLERY Participants are welcome to experience everything that has been covered, discuss experiences and network. VJ setups will be available for participants to experiment on. Bring along some source footage if you'd like to work it into the matrix.
INTERSECT : LIVE Kicking off early at the Disrupt Gallery, Gold Coin Entry From 8pm performances from leading VJs and DJs, featuring Metaluna, lotech, Mr J, Axis of Weevil, Rob Zohrab and Helix, JIGSAW, VMXKID, emu and BlackPantha.
