NZ Sculpture Onshore Fort Takapuna, Devonport

NZ Sculpture Onshore Fort Takapuna, Devonport 5-14 November

The wonderful weather has turned the outdoor sculpture exhibition into a huge success for the Friends of Women’s Refuge.

The location at Fort Takapuna off Narrow Neck Beach, overlooks Rangitoto and the channel and is attracting large crowds to view the sculptures by one hundred artists from as far as Invercargill. The Curator, Helen Schamroth has brought together a collection with something to suit everyone and the sculpture is selling well.

The café marquee is popular also with its stunning views over the water. The family can also enjoy exploring the tunnels in the fort, decorated with children’s art from the local schools. NZ Sculpture Onshore finishes on Sunday 14 November and with weather like this continuing it will be a huge fund raising success for the Women’s Refuges throughout the country.
