Arch Hill November News and Shows
Hi there,
Following a swag of AHR releases by Pine (Akira Sunrise - October) David Kilgour (Frozen Orange - September) and Fang (Swim Up Stream - August), Arch Hill HQ is picking up the pieces, and some bands are playing some shows around some of the NZ land...in the following order;
Thursday
11th November - Kings Arms (Auckland) - Pine, Alec Bathgate,
Fang and guests.
This show contains majority Christchurch
representation, Pine (also 100% Pine) and Alec Bathgate
(also 50% Tall Dwarfs) make a rare combined trip north to
Auckland to celebrate their respective album releases -
Akira Sunrise (Pine) and The Indifferent Velvet Void (Alec
Bathgate - on Lil' Chief). Joining the party is Fang and
other guests. Not only is this a special show because it is
a double album release, but it is a little extra special
because it is the first joint Arch Hill-Lil Chief adventure.
Music will be starting at the respectable hour of 8.30pm so
don't be too late.
Friday 12th of November - The Odeon
(Auckland) - Pine, Alec Bathgate and the Bads
A wind-down
lower-key less plugged in affair at the beautiful Odeon with
special guests the Bads. Similar but different to the above.
Saturday 13th November - Bodega (Wellington) - Ghostplane
and the Lahars
Ghostplane have been hunkered down brewing
up some fine new recordings and have decided to venture out
into the Wellington spring evening, with the Lahars, who
slid out of the excellent Livids...the gig apparently
promises "dancing beers, beer chested men, beer-ded
ladies"
And on the Telly...
Look out for Pine on Top of
the Pops this Saturday night at 6pm on TV2...in fact if you
feel like attending that performance send us an email and
we'll look up the directions...also look out for videos that
have been getting a bit of play on the telly by Fang
('Something Good') Pine ('See Saw'). Red Drum also have a
new video for 'Gun in Hand' which will be viewable
soon...some of these (OK..we are a little behind...but we'll
get them all up there soon) are (or will be) on the arch
hill website at
http://www.archhill.co.nz/videolist.php
Luv from Arch Hill
