Art Roads Now Open
The Otago Arts Trust – publishers of the award winning Otago Arts Guide – have recently announced their next project, Otago Art Road Maps
The Cleveland Living Arts Centre have been appointed Project Manager of the latest venture, and are now calling for expressions of interest to list on the maps. Full details can be obtained from the Centre:

Six different maps will be produced focusing on the following areas: South Otago & the Catlins; Alexandra, Clyde & Cromwell; Queenstown & Wanaka; Coastal North Otago, Waitaki & the Maniototo; Dunedin Central; Metropolitan Dunedin
The maps will function as location guides to practising artists throughout the province, both urban and rural.
They will be published in tear-off pads, available free of charge to art seekers and distributed at key locations throughout Otago.
While grant funding has been used in order to subsidise the cost of producing the maps, a nominal fee is payable by the artist – map placement and a six line listing will cost $50 inclusive for each entry.
The Trust urge artists not to delay in entering their listing as placings on the maps are on first-come, first-served basis and numbers are limited. It is envisaged that the maps will be available February 2005.
The maps are a further strengthening of the cultural tourism network of information in Otago and will make it easier for visitors to find artists, and encourage them to spend longer in the region.
