Auckland fans invited to see Carson Kressley on the red carpet at Woman’s Day relaunch party 6.00pm, Monday 1 November, Outside Soul Bar & Bistro, Viaduct Harbour
Auckland fans of Carson Kressley, fashion guru of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Fab Five, are invited to see him in person as he walks the red carpet into the Woman’s Day relaunch party on Monday 1 November. This is Carson’s first visit to New Zealand, exclusively to attend the celebrity event.
The A-list event is being held at Soul Bar & Bistro in the Viaduct, with invited guests – including Carson – arriving from 6pm. Aucklanders will be able to see him outside the venue as he arrives.
As part of the evening’s entertainment at the VIP event, Carson will makeover a number of local celebrities, as well as Mike Dowling, Invercargill winner of the Woman’s Day “Meet Queer Eye's Carson & makeover your man!” competition. He’ll be supported by local talent Suzy Aiken as MC and TV star and singer Joe Cotton.
“Carson is excited about coming to New Zealand to check out our style sense,” said Louise Wright, ACP Media’s Publishing Director – Major Market Titles. “As he says, the fashion police will be out in force and the event will definitely be a polyester-free zone!”
“His red-carpet entrance is a not-to-be missed opportunity for Auckland fans of Woman’s Day and the high-rating show.”
Published by ACP Media, Woman’s Day is the biggest-selling women's magazine in New Zealand with a circulation of 142,610 and a readership of 847,000. Over $2 million has been invested in the relaunch to create a bigger, better, bolder new-look publication. The relaunched title will have a larger format (297m x 225mm), glossier, heavier stock, an increased number of pages, new sections and new content. It will be available on the newsstands from 1 November 2004.
94.2 The Edge will be giving out 100 free copies of the first new-look Woman’s Day to fans who come to the Viaduct to see Carson.
