Hi there,
The news for the month of October up at Arch Hill is;
- New PINE album AKIRA SUNRISE out on October 11th
- DAVID KILGOUR tours the USA with Yo La Tengo
- FANG video and gig
Pine - Akira Sunrise - out October 11th
Those three clever Pinesters have finished tussling with the home studio in downtown Christchurch making album number two, and it is out Monday next week. It was recorded mostly in the early morning hours in order to avoid the noisy late night heavy metal neighbors, or disturbing the office wallahs during the day. It might have taken a little longer than planned, but they have come up super trumps with Akira Sunrise. You may have already heard the single See-Saw, which has been doing the rounds on the radio and telly. We will tell you more about it next week when the album comes out.
Pine play a release show for Akira Sunrise at the Wunderbar in Christchurch on Saturday October 9th with Alec Bathgate...look out for other NZ tour dates shortly
David Kilgour USA tour with Yo La Tengo
Merge have released Frozen Orange in the USA (Arch Hill in NZ) and David is over there at this very moment touring the Eastern sides of the US with the Yo La Tengo rotational travelling road-show extravaganza. you can check the dates at http://www.mergerecords.com/index.php
New Fang Vid. and Gig

They are also playing a ChannelZ show with SJD next Thursday 14th October at Galatos.
