Collective Visions is a joint photographic exhibition from five graduating students of Massey University's Bachelor of Design. This exhibition is the culmination of year-long projects dedicated to generating new research in the field of photography.

Sarah Conly is a 23-year-old Wellingtonian who is interested in documentary photography. Locating the Self: Is There a Constant Among the Multiple? Is an exploration into the consistency of self through self-portraiture and the pantoum.

Lily Ward is 22 years old and interested in documentary photography and other people's perceptions. Lily's work is an exploration into how six children photograph and relate to their favourite toys.

Miranda Wells is a 22-year-old Massey Student who plans to be a commercial photographer in New Zealand and Australia. Miranda has conducted a research investigation into identifying the aesthetical reasons that define refuse.

Vaughan Wilson is 21 years old. He is originally from New Plymouth and is interested in landscape photography. Vaughan's research project deals with the act of rephotographing a site. He has looked at the effects of ephotographing historical paintings and sketches of Taranaki by Europeans More between 1855 and 1870. Taranaki and its mountain were one of the most painted and sketched places in New Zealand and some of the images he has rephotographed are important images in New Zealand's art history. By comparing photographs with historical paintings it is possible to gain some insight into the way in which the New Zealand landscape was portrayed at this time.

Philip Smith is a 21-year-old originally from Tauranga. He is interested in landscape and documentary photography. Philip's project is a personal exploration of family connections to Tarawera.
