New Zealand Runway Taking Off In October 2004
New Zealand Runway positions itself as the perfect accessory to Air New Zealand Fashion Week and the finest New Zealand design.
New Zealand Runway will be held at the Air New Zealand Fashion Week venue, Viaduct Harbour, from Friday 22nd October to Monday 25th October 2004. Offering an opportunity to experience the best in innovation and originality from some of New Zealand’s finest fashion, lifestyle and design creators, New Zealand Runway will be formatted as a stand-alone consumer event.
The outstanding success of Air New Zealand Fashion Week has paved the way for this exciting, quality consumer event, according to Air New Zealand Fashion Week Organiser Pieter Stewart.
“In just four years, Air New Zealand Fashion Week has given unprecedented momentum to the fashion trade in New Zealand. Beyond the sales and publicity is an increasing demand for consumer access to the best of New Zealand fashion and design in general,” says Ms Stewart. “The organisers of New Zealand Runway have recognised this opportunity and have created an event that will be an ideal public opportunity to showcase design from all angles.”
“Best Of…” shows, featuring highlights from the Air New Zealand Fashion Week collections will be held daily during the New Zealand Runway event.
New Zealand Runway Organiser Charleen Oliver is enthusiastic about broadening the exposure of New Zealand fashion and design.
“It has always been our intention to create New Zealand Runway as a mode for bringing more of the exciting, dynamic and imaginative aspects of both Air New Zealand Fashion Week as well as other New Zealand design elements, to the public.”
