Heart-pumping action in Warren Miller’s latest movie JOURNEY is winning at the Australian box office, with top 10 rankings for two weekends in a row. Since opening in Australia two weeks ago, JOURNEY has held top spot in the box office rankings for two Thursday to Sunday periods based on per screen average.
Warren Miller’s latest feature film JOURNEY premieres at The Civic, THE EDGE on June 18.
In its first weekend on screen it outstripped its nearest rival by more than $50,000, and last weekend it was the seventh most popular film in Australia.
JOURNEY, which screens at The Civic in Auckland for a limited season from June 18-20, has also been hailed by Australian reviewers as Miller’s best film yet – Sydney Daily Telegraph wrote it included “some of the most remarkable sports action footage the world has ever seen”.
Filmed on location in the United States, France, Italy, Switzerland, Morocco and Chile using 19 camera crews and 73 athletes, JOURNEY features 95 minutes of ski and snowboard action, with Warren Miller’s trademark thrills and spills.
