Calling All Guys Who Wear Undies! Commandos Need Not Apply

Bendon Man is going where no one has gone before by urging guys to talk about their undies in the Great Revealing Undie Debate (G.R.U.D.).

Starting today on the Bendon Man website at www.bendonman.co.nz the G.R.U.D. calls for a state of the nation on guys underwear, like do guys really leave it up to the women in their life to buy their boxers? The survey, which closes on Tuesday 29 June, involves seven questions that will take just a few minutes to answer.

Suzanne Walters, Bendon Man brand manager, says the G.R.U.D. aims to get to the crux of what guys are really thinking when they pull on their undies in the morning.

"By running the GRUD, we hope to better understand the male underwear psyche. What colour do they prefer, who buys it for them, where do they buy them from, how often do they change them - these are all questions that will help build a picture of our kiwi blokes and their underwear," says Suzanne.

Guys also better watch their behinds with the launch of nationwide down trou fever in the 'Ben-Down Trou your mate' competition, which kicked off yesterday. Bendon Man is running the competition to coincide with the G.R.U.D. and invites guys to simply film their mates being down troued.

Points are awarded for the most embarrassing situation and the best entry will win a Canon mv730i digital camcorder worth $1,199. Entries must be received by midday on Monday 28 June and can be sent to: Ben-Down Trou competition, PO Box 591, Auckland. Visit www.bendonman.co.nz for more details and to see a down trou in action.

Bendon Man's Built for Down Under campaign launched last week and gives a glimpse of New Zealand life in a series of four quintessentially kiwi images. Shot by ex-model turned photographer Chris Sisarich, the campaign heralds the launch of a new Bendon Man range that offers every day basics that look and fit great.

Bendon Man is available at selected department stores and Farmers stores nationwide.
