Tickets Selling Fast For Top Fashion Show
Over 500 tickets have already been sold for the food and fashion extravaganza, ‘In the Pink’ which features the latest season’s fashions from New Zealand’s top designers and raises funds for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
‘In the Pink’ will be held next Friday 11 June at the new SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre from 6.30pm. The event showcases designs from the country’s leading fashion houses including Adrienne Winkelmann, Liz Mitchell, SAKS, WORLD, Annah Stretton and Zambesi. Exciting new additions to this year’s designers include Helen Cherry, Helen Talbot, Jane Rhodes, and Kate Sylvester.
Popular media personality Charlotte Dawson has just been confirmed as MC for the event, stepping into the role originally to be carried out by Paula Ryan, who will regrettably be overseas. The evening’s entertainment line-up includes special appearances by the Topp Twins and Jazz Singer/TV presenter, Sarah Bradley.
Rosie Horton, Patron of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, will be joined by celebrities Kate Hawkesby, Hilary Barry and Kerre Woodham, to help support the cause. ‘In the Pink’ starts with cocktails at 6.30pm. Guests will experience new season fashions within the surroundings of New Zealand’s newest world-class convention centre, the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre on Auckland’s Federal Street, while savouring a delicious selection of canapés from award-winning SKYCITY chefs.
The event also features glamorous door prizes, raffles and an auction of luxury items from Christian Dior, Giltrap Prestige, Michael Hill Jeweller, Business World Travel and International Art Centre as well as the opportunity to have a SKYCITY chef cook a sumptuous dinner party for six in the comfort of your own home.
Helen Mawn, Manager of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation says that ‘In the Pink’ is an inspirational and glamorous event, which gives women the chance to preview the latest fashions and have a great night out while supporting a worthy cause.
“It is wonderful to see the show going from strength to strength with more tickets being sold every year. We are grateful to SKYCITY Auckland for its ongoing support in creating such a successful event,” says Ms Mawn. ‘In the Pink’ is one of the annual activities SKYCITY sponsors to raise funds and awareness of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, along with the annual Global Illumination Campaign (October) when Sky Tower is lit pink in conjunction with other leading world monuments.
