Winners Announced – Internatonal Film Awards

WINNERS ANNOUNCED – INTERNATONAL FILM AWARDS

A film portraying inner conflict and personal humour won gold at this year’s Flying Fives International Film Awards.

Vernon produced by Neil Andrews tells the story of Vernon who cannot take it anymore as madness overcomes him. Vernon has won for its producer a two-day secondment to the Gibson Group.

The Flying Fives 2003/04 Silver Winner, and runner up to the Gold Award, and who will receive a two day secondment to New Zealand graphics and animation house Oktobor, was Untampered produced by Morag Brownlie.

Roadside produced by Annette Eggers was awarded the ‘Nelson Film Awards Development Trust’ Best Locally Produced Film and won for its producer the eMac from The Apple Division of Renaissance Limited.

The Bronze winners who will receive mentoring with one of the following leading New Zealand film makers: Mike Horton; Yvonne MacKay; Brian Shennan or Alun Bollinger are:

The Flying Fives Awards were announced last night at a special ceremony in Nelson. The public screening for the 19 finalists Sunday 4 April was sold out. However New Zealand will get the chance to see the Flying Fives when the Rialto Channel screens a special Flying Fives show Monday 1 May at 7.45.
