Scottish Songstress Marion Martin Performs in Auckland

Stunning Scottish songstress Marion Martin returns to New Zealand in April for one concert only at the Auckland Town Hall, THE EDGE®.

Twenty-five years ago Scottish songstress Marion Martin exploded into the record charts with her first album Songs of Bonnie Scotland.

Now, THE EDGE® and Bluebell Productions present The 25th Anniversary Tour of Marion Martin: The Flower of Scotland at the Auckland Town Hall on Friday April 2.

Acclaimed as one of the most dynamic and exciting singers and entertainers Scotland has ever produced, Marion Martin is known as a spellbinding performer who has sung for the Pope and for royalty.

Group tickets for Marion Martin’s only New Zealand concert are available for $37.50 (plus service fee) each for groups of six or more people.

During her 25-year recording career Marion has released a string of albums and five still continue to sell well today. Marion, who was born in Glasgow and now lives in Australia, is passionate about the songs she sings.

“I find the songs stirring, exactly the effect they were meant to have. I feel them this way every time I sing them. I always get a lump in the throat and I don’t try to fight against it. I feel the words. I feel the music. I give it everything I’ve got.”

Supported by a seven-piece band, Marion’s Auckland performance features a full programme including favorites Scotland The Brave, My Love is Like a Red Red Rose and The Road and Miles to Dundee.
