March 10, 2004.
THE WARRIORS' 2004 SEASON EXCLUSIVELY LIVE ON SKY 1
SKY 1 is again the home of the New Zealand Warriors, screening all of their regular NRL season games exclusively LIVE from this Sunday, March 14 at 4:30pm.
The Warriors' opening match is an away game against the Brisbane Broncos, which will be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
Build-up to the clash with Stephen McIvor and Peter Ropati in Lion Red Gameday from 4:30pm, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm.
The Broncos are still the benchmark of the NRL and this will be a tough first-up test for the Kiwi boys, but the Warriors have the wood on the Broncos in recent years and gave them a real towelling 32-12 last year in Brisbane, so they'll go into the match with some confidence.
All other NRL games will screen weekly on either SKY Sport 1 or SKY Sport 2.
Round 1 matches this weekend also include last year's premiers, Penrith Panthers versus Newcastle Knights (Friday, March 12 at 9:30pm on SKY Sport 2), West Tigers versus Cronulla Sharks (Saturday, March 13 at 7:30pm on SKY Sport 2), Canterbury Bulldogs versus Parramatta Eels (Saturday, March 13 at 9:30pm on SKY Sport 2), North Queensland Cowboys versus Manly Sea Eagles (Saturday, March 13 at 11:30pm on SKY Sport 2), St. George-Illawarra Dragons versus Canberra Raiders (Sunday, March 14 at 4:30pm) and Sydney City Roosters versus South Sydney Rabbitohs (Sunday, March 14 at 8pm on SKY Sport 1).
For exclusively LIVE coverage of the Warriors' 2004 NRL season, SKY 1 is the place to be, starting this Sunday, March 14 at 4:30pm. All other NRL matches are on SKY Sport 1 and SKY Sport 2.
