Wellington's playwright group starts up again on Monday at 6.30pm here at Playmarket but this year we also welcome all to pop in as they see fit fortnightly or for monthly sessions which involve guests providing a sharing of skills and experience. A Writing Group for Playwrights

This year Playmarket is bringing together a valuable new opportunity for playwrights with a monthly guest to its regular Playgroup. ALLCOMERS INTERESTED IN PLAYWRITING ARE WELCOME. Guests providing their perspective include:

Susan Wilson - Getting produced: the Theatre and the Play

May 10

Briar Grace-Smith - Playwriting and the Poetic

Stephen Bain - The Playwright and the Devisor

Playgroup meets once a fortnight and is a chance for writers to develop their work. The group bounce ideas, share work, receive and give feedback, and give their imaginations a work-out. Later in the year, attendees will also have an opportunity to present some of their work at Playmarket¹s The Session.
