Fringe: Will You Be My Black Valentine?

Will You Be My Black Valentine?

The divine array of talent and intoxicating programme that is Fringe NZ 04: Revelation kicks off tonight, Friday 13th, with the seductive Black Valentine Party.

The festival will commence in true lush Fringe style with a cornucopia of visual delights and audio pleasures. Shed 11 is the venue for the artists' party, which features unique fashion and performance extravaganza Quiddity04, musician Rhian Sheehan, and top Kiwi VJs (video jockeys) 4Play.

Quiddity04 presents a fashion show like no other with established and emerging designers taking artistic license with the theme of Black Valentine, and spicing up the catwalk with choreographed performance. Before the show begins, the audience will be able to witness the creation of glorious hairstyles on the models.

VJs 4Play will provide a stunning backdrop to Quiddity04 with projections onto four custom made screens in the roof of Shed 11. 4Play features four VJs, who will work together to provide luscious images exploring the theme of 'liberty'. Rhian Sheehan (LOOP) will provide musical accompaniment with guitar and synthesized soundscapes.

"The Black Valentine party will be an extravaganza like no other. I'm looking forward to being blown away by a decadent creative hybrid of fashion, dance, VJs and music. We're inviting people to bring along their exes ... the Fringe always likes to keep things edgy!" says Fringe NZ Director Tim Renner.
