CARRY ON RANDERSON, PRESENTED BY BARBARIAN PRODUCTIONS

Carry on Randerson: Part Two continues the comic theatrical investigation of the real-life Randerson siblings, Joanna and Jeremy. Part One premiered six years ago and ended with Jeremy exploding Joanna. Part Two is darker, more mystical and older.

As always with these Randersons, music and dancing feature highly, and the material is largely comic. Carry on Randerson deals with layers of reality, death, new life and family relationships, part two is darker and more philosophical than the first.

Jo Randerson, is a Wellington-based writer and performer. She has published two books, 'The Knot' and 'The Spit Children' and is the author of numerous plays that have been performed in Wellington and around New Zealand. Jo was the Robert Burns Fellow for 2001 at Otago University and received the Bruce Mason Playwrighting Award in 1997. She has recently returned from a writing course in Russia, travelling on a Winston Churchill Fellowship. Her next book, The Keys to Hell, with illustrations by Taika Waititi, will be published late-2004 by VUP.
