Move over the “Jackson 5”!

‘The Oti brothers’ star in Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park 2003

Move over the “Jackson 5”…these four Samoan brothers have got the talent and the moves to take them to the top.

The Oti Brothers will be wowing the crowd at the upcoming Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park in Auckland on December 13th. They will be performing two songs, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” and “It’s All Good”.

The brothers are 17-year-old Oti, Mamoe, 15, Nokise, 13 and Neville, who’s 11. Their proud parents, Ava and Nokise, say the boys have each discovered their natural singing talent.

“The three older brothers were singing together and the little one joined in when he was five.” “They make up their own harmonies, write their own songs and make their own moves.”

The brothers practice together 2-3 times a week, as well as daily training to keep fit for their dancing.

Although Oti junior was born in Wellington, the family was raised in Australia. They moved back to New Zealand last year, to start a church ministry in New Lynn. The two older boys go to Kelston Boys, while the younger two are at Kelson Intermediate.

The brothers count among their musical influences groups like Boyz 2 Men, ‘N Sync and the Jackson 5. They are planning to record an album, and eventually want to secure a record deal in the States.
