LOOP SELECT 005 – Good Shit Happens! On the eve of the worldwide Lord Of The Rings premiere to be held in Wellington,
we’re proud to present our own slice of New Zealand creative culture:
LOOP SELECT 005 – a box set featuring the best of Aotearoa’s musical, visual and artistic talent.
On December 1 2003 LOOP will present over 1000 copies of LOOP SELECT 005 to VIP guests and international media at the
Lord Of The Rings premiere in Wellington and selected guests at the New York and London premieres. LOOP Select 005
brings a wealth of local talent together to celebrate the amazing artistic endeavors that have helped to shape our
music, design and film industries into globally recognized creative brands.
Earlier this year we put the call out for creative content. The response was simply overwhelming, with contributions
flooding in from New Zealanders living all over the world. From the hundreds of artistic, musical and visual potentials
we trawled through, only a handful were selected for inclusion…
Our very first DVD brings you 8 of the best NZ short films from the last two years and includes a raft of acclaimed
directors including James Cunningham and Robert Sarkies. We've also compiled 9 of LOOP’s favourite NZ music videos with
featured artists including Olmecha Supreme (winner of this year’s Handle the Jandal music video award) Anika Moa, and
50Hz featuring Ladi6 to name a few…
The BOOK is quite literally our fattest & most impressive yet at 136 pages, featuring art from Ronnie van Hout, Shane Cotton, Subvert & a host of acclaimed NZ artists, institutes, designers & photographers…
