Swing along to the action at the FIRST EVER “A Day in New Orleans” jazz, wine and food festival at Gulf Harbour on Saturday 1 November 2003.

Be dazzled with a smorgasbord of New Zealand’s finest musicians and a profusion of fine wine, great food and family entertainment.

Young ones will be thrilled with a medley of vibrant street entertainers and a fun-filled game zone. While adults can kick off their shoes and let their feet feel the beat and their palates be tantalised.

One Million Dollars, the Phil Broadhurst Quintet, Caitlin Smith and the Fondue Set, Andy Poole and the Mike Walker Trio and the Rodger Fox Big Band are set to get the crowds jiving. Throughout the day the 1932 Jazz Orchestra will also get the feet tapping with dance music from the 1920s to the early 1940s.While the antics of Cornflakes the Clown, Jiggles, Toy Soldier and many others will keep the peals of laughter rolling.

Lincoln Vineyards, Kim Crawford Wines, Lothlorien Winery, West Brook Winery, Coopers Creek and Montana Wines will all be offering drops from cabernet merlot to sauvignon blanc. Cuisine will range from small tasty snacks, seafood platters to restaurant meals.

The festivities of “A Day in New Orleans” will be set at the Gulf Harbour Town Centre with its world-class amenities and magnificent beaches.

Gulf Harbour, nestled in the picturesque Whangaparaoa Peninsula, is a 35-minute drive from Auckland on Highway One via Silverdale. Return passenger ferry transportation to Gulf Harbour from Auckland on Kawau Kat (inclusive in the combination ticket - $18*) should encourage the crowds to make a safe family day out.

$15 (entry only)
Children Under 12 Free (must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. There is a limit of two children per adult. There is a $1 surcharge for children riding the ferry.)

Gulf Corporation is proud to present this electrifying new event certain to become a regular fixture on the wine festival calendar. Day long entertainment swings into action from 10am and ends at 6pm.

The festival is an outdoor and general admission event, so come dressed for the weather!
