Modus Operandi was launched in 2001. A brand designed to discover and develop emerging New Zealand fashion designers, delivering their style to the street.
FASHION HOUSE: Modus Operandi has been working with new designers, delivering their designs to market through retail and media. FASHION AWARDS: Modus Operandi has relaunched New Zealand’s nationwide fashion design awards with sponsorship from a team of New Zealand’s most premium brands; providing inspiration and publicity for the nations emerging talent FASHION TELEVISION: Modus Operandi has forged new ground with fashion television by partnering with TVNZ to deliver new style to New Zealand’s television screens later this year. FASHION GALLERY: Modus Operandi is opening a 300m2 gallery on High St, Auckland to stock the most directional in emerging New Zealand style.
The winner of this year’s Modus Operandi Supreme Award is still to be selected from New Zealand’s top four emerging designers: Cindy Dunstan from Wellington, Michael Pattison, also from Wellington, Ana Steele from Auckland and Gemeli Power from New Plymouth. These four designers have been working day and night out of the Modus Operandi offices in Auckland to designing your new season’s style which will hit the catwalk on October 19th. The supreme award will be judged and announced on October 19th by fashion industry insiders, Bernard McDonald, editor of Pavement magazine, Elisabeth Findlay, designer and founder of Zambesi, and Miriam Clements, director of Modus Operandi.

Immerse yourselves in directional fashion designers new season’s creations for the Modus Operandi Fashion House on a 40 metre purpose built catwalk running down the middle of High St. Witness the official opening of the Modus Operandi Fashion Gallery at 51 High St, Auckland. And be part of the evening of fashion on the street as it is filmed for the Modus Operandi TV2 documentary.
