Step into Spring with Beckenham Walk n Talk
A new Christchurch City Council
Leisure programme will be hitting the streets of Beckenham
beginning on Thursday 9th October at the new South
Christchurch Library /Learning Centre/Beckenham Service
Centre. Walk n Talk is part of the successful ‘Active
Christchurch’ campaign encouraging people to do 30 minutes
of exercise each day.
We would like to invite you to join this new and free programme. The group will meet weekly, enjoying a guided walk through the local neighbourhood. Every second week an informative talk is held at the conclusion of the walk. Themes for the first term include introduction to the South Christchurch Library, the latest on the new Learning Centre, and a Tai Chi demonstration plus have-a-go session.
The Walk n Talk programme has been running in several areas of Christchurch since early 2001, other venues include Fendalton Service Centre/Library, New Brighton Library, Papanui Service Centre/Library, and Hallswell Library.
We encourage you to bring a friend and be active together in this Spring! Phone Christchurch City Council Leisure on 941-2840 for further details of these and other walking options.
