The countdown is on for the 2003 Sir Terry McLean Sports Journalism Awards.
Entries for the awards close on 29 September 2003.

The America's Cup and the Cricket World Cup have been and gone and now we
look forward to the prospects that lie ahead for the All Whites, the Silver
Ferns and the All Blacks. So it's time to start thinking about your entries
for the 2003 Sir terry McLean national Sports Journalism Awards.....

SPARC and the New Zealand Sports Journalists Association are co-ordinating
the 2003 Sir Terry McLean National Sports Journalism Awards. Here's your
chance to put forward your best work in the last 12 months.

Television Reporting
Radio Reporting
Sport Reporting
Sports Columnist
Feature Writing
Photography- Best Portfolio & Single Photo
Young Writer
Best Provincial Portfolio - writer & photographer
Recreation/Adventure/Lifestyle Reporting
Recreation/Adventure/Lifestyle Photography
Supreme Award for the most Outstanding Entry (selected from all category
winners)

Entries cover work over the last 12 months (1 October 2002 - 29 September
2003).
Entry deadline is Monday 29 September 2003.

The SPARC sponsored Awards Dinner will once again be held at the Wairakei
Resort Hotel, Taupo on the evening of Sunday, 2 November 2003 in conjunction
with the annual News Media Golf Tournament. Circle this date on your
calendar now and start working on your portfolio.
