The Phoenix Foundation http://www.amplifier.co.nz/amp/view?item_id=6486

Wellington-based guitar driven electronica indie rock band. Meandering bass lines, gentle rhythms and melodies create a veil of sound, filmy enough to catch the breeze but too strong to push aside. The overall sound is beguiling, sincere and compelling, and these qualities are particularly enhanced by the vocal and lyrical talents of Sam Scott and Luke Buda.

Dejusa http://www.amplifier.co.nz/amp/view?item_id=6495

Dejusa is a culmination of all things musical. Veritable sponges for inspiration, their musical influences stem from sources far and wide - from epic Bollywood movie scores to BBC news stories. The end result is an ecclectic mix of electronica, live dub, drum'n'bass and jazz, that would bring a smile to anyone's face and a serious swing to their step.

Steve Abel http://www.amplifier.co.nz/amp/view?item_id=6513

Abel is an Auckland born musician and ecologist. He has spent his 33 years roving a ramshackle planet, writing and singing songs of longing and railing against those that wreck nature. Abel recently contributed his song Hospice For Destitute Lovers to the soundtrack of Florian Habicht's brilliant film Woodenhead.
