Auckland Rugby Fans… Prepare to salute the Captains!
In the lead up to the Rugby World Cup ‘The Captains Dinner’, will see three former Captains and rugby greats - Mark Ella of Australia, Tiaan Strauss of South Africa and Sean Fitzpatrick of New Zealand – take to the stage with their personal World Cup ‘form guide’.
The Captains Dinner will be held on Wednesday 30th July 2003 at the Sheraton Auckland Hotel and Towers, with kick-off at 6.30pm. This fundraising event is in aid of the New Zealand Endometriosis Foundation.
Former Wallaby, journalist and raconteur Peter FitzSimons will take on the role of Master of Ceremonies. Special guests include former All Black Captains Fred Allen and Stu Wilson, together with Waka Nathan, Andy Haden, Gary Whetton, Lana Cockroft, Charlotte Dawson, Jude Dobson, Lucy Lawless, Sir Howard Morrison, Emily Drumm, Mandy Smith, Dean Barker and Winston Peters. Debbie Harwood will be the entertainment on the evening.
The beneficiary of the night, the New Zealand Endometriosis Foundation, offers education, information and support for the girls and women who suffer from Endometriosis, their families and others who are affected by the disease. The foundation fosters research and works with gynaecologists, doctors and other health professionals in New Zealand and around the world.
Endometriosis affects around one in five girls and women, often compromising fertility and has a far reaching impact on quality of life, families, happiness, schooling, career and well-being.
Tickets to The Captains Dinner are $200 each or $2000 for a table for ten
