Gibson tips Steve Hansen as All Blacks coach
Ex-Crusaders player Daryl Gibson tips Steve Hansen to become the All Blacks’ coach, according to the new International rugby New Zealand magazine released today.
Gibson said the current Welsh coach was an All Blacks coach-in-waiting, the magazine reported.
``Steve will get the All blacks job at some stage, it is just a matter of time,’’ Gibson is quoted as saying.
``He is a man of his word. He showed that when he came to Wales after he had been asked to have a go at the All Blacks job.’’
Hansen had been asked to apply for the role of All Blacks coach, the magazine said. Hansen declined saying he had promised former Wales boss Graham Henry that he would be his number two.
The magazine also quoted former Crusaders captain Todd Blackadder saying he aspired to becoming the All Blacks’ coach one day.
