The First Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix

The first Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix will be held on the 30th March 2003 at the Lower Domain Drive, Auckland.

Applications for registration have been running hot with over 400 interested trolley enthusiasts already requesting Application Tool Kits. Registration for the event closes on 31 January 2003.

Teams will have to earn their L Plates before entering the Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix. This will involve completing a design form with details of design creativity and performance of the trolley they intend to build before 31st January 2003. Red Bull will then qualify 60 trolleys to race on the day.

Then the fun begins as teams from around the country build their trolley and prepare themselves for the big day.

Each team will need their creative genius and wits about them to build a trolley that can roll down a steep 700m course full of daredevil turns at eye watering speeds.

Spectators and media can expect a day of courageous stunts, daring manoeuvres and spectacular crashes as each team tries to go the distance on a fun and action packed day. Media registration will be available 15 February 2003.

Don’t miss the only race where, fast is good, outrageous is better
