Race One Of Semifinals Postponed Due To High Winds
No racing today, day one of the Louis Vuitton Cup 2002-2003 semifinals, raced on a best of seven series. The Race Committee was forced to postpone all racing at 14:30, due to the strong winds, well over the 19 knots limit. All racing will resume tomorrow.
The America's Cup Arbitration Panel has just announced its ruling in the OneWorld case. OneWorld will be imposed the following penalty for having breached the Protocol: one point penalty in the semifinals of the Louis Vuitton Cup and, if it advances, one point in the finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup and, if it advances further, one point in the match for the America's Cup. OneWorld has also been directed to pay the sum of US$65.000, covering the cost of the Arbitration Panel, by December 16th.
