Quote From Francesco De Angelis
Francesco de Angelis, skipper of Luna Rossa, at the end of today's race said: "Today we had a very close match with Alinghi and the outcome of the race was uncertain right until the very end. We had a very light collision with the Swiss boat due to an unnecessary error on our part that we could have easily avoided. It was an unforced mistake. During the last run we also had a few problems with our spinnaker sheet, but the race was still open. I will now meet the crew for the day's debriefing, where we will analyse the race and consider all that we could have done better. We hope tomorrow's match will be as hard fought as today".
