TAGATA PASIFIKA GOES LIVE ON THE WEB
TV ONE's flagship Pacific Islands programme, Tagata Pasifika, enters the online arena today with live streaming of the programme online via TV ONE's website (www.tvone.nzoom.com) "Websites provide an increasingly effective public service delivery channel to deliver content and added value to a programme. Live streaming online of programmes such as Te Karere and Tagata Pasifika are just two examples of the way TVNZ is extending its ability to reach and serve New Zealanders at home and abroad," explained nzoom.com's Executive Producer, Glyn Jones.
nzoom.com has taken a leadership roll in the production of video and audio programming. There has been significant growth in this area with natural synergies between TVNZ's online presence and its two television channels, complementing and extending the television viewing experience.
In addition to video streaming, many programmes including TelstraClear Business, Knowledge Breakfast, Good Morning, Mai Time and Flipside have been supplemented by the online availability of additional detailed programme information encouraging viewer interaction.
Programmes streamed live are also archived and available for viewers - anywhere in the world - to access at their convenience.
Tagata Pasifika is broadcast twice a week on TV ONE at approximately 11.00pm on Thursdays following Late Edition and again on Sunday mornings at 8.00am.
