Booking a table at your favourite restaurant just got easier with the new restaurant and babysitting online booking service, Time2Dine.co.nz.

Time2Dine.co.nz is Auckland’s only online restaurant booking service. It provides a unique way to book a table instantly from a wide range of restaurants in Auckland and Taupo. It launches next week with ‘chefs’ handing out business cards in Auckland’s CBD.

Time2Dine Director, Michael Brandon saw a niche for this service and has spent the last year developing this unique website:

“I’d heard about difficulties people had booking tables online. There were flaws in the booking systems. Being an opportunist, I decided to use this to my advantage. I have now developed a system that takes the uncertainty out of the booking experience,” says Michael.

And it does exactly that. With just the click of the mouse, Time2Dine allows you to make an ‘informed’ dining decision. It provides photos, menus and wine lists from a wide range of restaurants.

After browsing, you can make a ‘live’ booking. Your chosen restaurant then receives an instant fax, email or text message saying that you’re coming. An email is then fired back to you, confirming your booking details.

And all this takes place without moving an inch!

“The great thing about Time2Dine is that the system already has pre-confirmed seats. When you book, the seat is already waiting,” says Michael.

And if you have children, Time2Dine will take the hassle out of finding a babysitter.

Time2Dine has linked up with the Auckland-based babysitting and care assistant company, Domestic and Service Personnel.

Domestic and Service Personnel has been established since 1984 and has over 4,000 experienced staff available. When you make your restaurant booking you can also book one of their staff (who have all been interviewed and reference checked).

Having made the booking, the babysitting service gets a fax or text message, and then calls to confirm the details.

Once all this is done you can relax, knowing that your table is safe, your children are safe and you haven’t wasted a lunch hour on the phone. And even better, when you arrive at the restaurant, and mention that you booked through Time2Dine, you will automatically receive a special deal.
