Following a sell-out season in Auckland, Dave Fane, Oscar Kightley, Shimpal Lelisi, and Mario Gaoa, and their lesser-known but better-looking mate, Robbie Magasiva (Stickmen), return to Wellington with their reunion show the whole epic Trilogy.

Combining brilliant physical humour with razor-sharp Polynesian satire, The Naked Samoans have a huge following throughout the country, and all of their shows over the last 5 years have sold out. The Trilogy is like Lord of the Rings, only taller, like Star Wars but with more fights, like Krishnan’s Dairy, but with Samoan customers. The Trilogy brings together all the best bits from their earlier shows, as well as outrageous new material.

The three previous sell-out shows Naked Samoans Talk About Their Knives, Naked Samoans Go To Hollywood and Naked Samoans: Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go are combined in a hilarious and frenetic, full-length, highly physical, K-Tel kamikaze comedy. Who can forget the Naked’s famous marae visit? Marvel at their contemporary dance routines, re-live the school-social romance of Sione and Vienna, and laugh and cry as Sione’s mum shows her love for her son with a variety of household appliances. Discover if Rakeesh, the Indian dairy-owner, ever has his bill paid by those thieving Samoans . . .

"The packed audience revelled in their Kamikaze approach to comedy - head-on, full steam ahead, no survivors." Evening Post

“The Naked Samoans are well named. Though their bodies are covered, their emotions and beliefs are exposed. The Trilogy is tight, fast and compelling theatre . . . a dream ensemble. . . glorious, manic and generous humour. It is dangerous, and it works, which could be the motto for the show.“

Susan Budd, New Zealand Herald, 21 June 2001
