Festival Shows Sold Out
After two weeks on public sale, over a third of tickets to the 2002 New Zealand Festival have been sold, says Executive Director Alex Reedijk.
Strong sellers include Telecom Opera Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss, exuberant Cuban folkloric ensemble Cutumba, Mats Ek's radical reinterpretation of Swan Lake by Sweden's Cullberg Ballet and the Lotto Season of Picnic, a hilarious outdoor family show with a twist.
Sales to shows at the Heineken Dans Paleis have also been booming, with four events already booked out. In response to this demand, a new performance of Fever! The Making of Peggy Lee has been added to the Heineken Dans Paleis programme for Tues 26 February.
The New Zealand Festival runs from 22 February - 17 March 2002. Tickets can be purchased nationwide through Ticketek or online at www.nzfestival.telecom.co.nz
ENDS.
